Volland is a cutting-edge tool for tracking and visualizing dealer positioning in the options market in real time. With its widget-based architecture and fully customizable user workspaces, it offers a personalized experience for traders. Its tracking of delta, gamma, vega, vanna, and charm — along with insight into dealer hedging activities — makes it an essential tool for those trading short-term (0DTE) and long-term options alike. The platform's modularity and high degree of accuracy offer a comprehensive way for traders to stay ahead of dealer-driven market movements.

During work in Implex.dev, I spearheaded the conceptual development of a financial analysis platform, transforming it from a basic application with a single form generating two charts into a sophisticated, widget-based architecture. This new structure enables the seamless addition of new widgets with minimal development cost, significantly enhancing scalability and flexibility. The result is a powerful, user-customizable environment that streamlines financial analysis, offering a more intuitive, efficient, and feature-rich experience.

EQUINET is a comprehensive mobile and web application to streamline daily business operations for farriers. Designed in collaboration with professionals in the field, the app offers a suite of features tailored to the unique needs of hoof care specialists. A standout feature of EQUINET is its ability to function both online and offline, accommodating farriers who often work in areas with limited internet connectivity.

At Monterail, I led a team of three developers, driving feature ideation, technological decisions, and problem-solving. My key responsibilities included conducting research, making strategic decisions, and mentoring a junior developer to support their growth and contribution to the project. The platform’s recent growth and partnerships with high-profile sports teams and venues highlight its reputation as a trusted provider in the premium ticketing space. While working at Monterail I was part of the team that developed an enterprise web application designed to assist network engineers in monitoring and troubleshooting complex network systems. The platform features advanced data visualization tools that present intricate network data in an accessible and user-friendly manner, enhancing the efficiency of network performance analysis and issue resolution.

Due to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), the application's specific identity and client details remain confidential. The project involved a collaborative effort between Monterail's team and the client's in-house developers, focusing on creating a secure, privacy-compliant solution tailored to the unique demands of network engineering. The application has been successfully deployed to clients in the financial sector worldwide, providing a robust tool for network data analysis and visualization.

Merck Unite

Merck Unite is a web and mobile medtech platform that I developed with the team in Monterail for healthcare professionals in Kenya and beyond, focusing on diabetes care. The application serves as a comprehensive hub for medical practitioners to exchange knowledge, access educational resources, and participate in expert-led discussions. It offers accredited e-learning courses, webinars, and a repository of research materials, all aimed at enhancing the professional development of doctors dealing with diabetes.

The platform was meticulously designed to accommodate the specific needs and internet usage habits of Kenyan healthcare providers. Recognizing that only 4% of internet users in Kenya have access to fixed broadband, the development team prioritized responsiveness and efficient data transfer. By employing a single-page application (SPA) architecture with Ruby on Rails for the backend and Angular for the frontend, and leveraging PostgreSQL for data processing, Merck Unite ensures a fast, user-friendly experience that supports high traffic volumes and facilitates seamless knowledge-sharing among medical professionals.
